Shelton Group is seeking a mid-level account manager with 5-10 years advertising agency experience to handle a variety of midsized and/or single-project clients, serving as the primary, day-to-day contact for the clients as well as the internal liaison for project management within the agency. The account manager will be charged with managing multiple accounts and/or projects at once, leading the creation of the strategy, crafting the plan and approach for each client, ensuring all work is on strategy as well as on time and within budget, and identifying opportunities to grow the business by securing additional projects from the same clients and/or converting a project-based client into a full-time, agency of record opportunity.
The account manager must think quickly on his/her feet, be brilliant at managing competing projects and priorities and capable of seeing the big picture while also managing details. Strong verbal and written communications skills, a capability for analytical thinking, a sense of entrepreneurship, dynamic presentation skills, personal organization and interpersonal skills are also a must. A 4-year business or marketing degree and 5-10 years experience within marketing/advertising agency setting is required. Experience working with clients on marketing research and consultation projects and/or experience within green, energy efficient or sustainable products/services is a plus.
